Fastlane plus is Integrated Design's tried and tested barrier arm optical turnstile range with over 750 systems installed across the world. Fastlane plus uses state of the art optical technology to monitor the passage of every individual entering and leaving a facility, combined with fast-acting barrier arms to deter unauthorised access.

Key Fastlane plus benefits

The following benefits are common to all the Fastlane plus variants

1. More Secure - unsurpassed tailgate detection and deterrence; tailgaters are detected following as close as 5mm behind authorised users. 2-stage alarm response: early audible warning alarm followed by a secondary output for a higher security response e.g. to trigger CCTV or lock doors.

2. Fastest Throughput - means a greater return on investment. 1 person per second often means fewer lanes are required, and less wasted time in queues leads to greater user acceptance.

3. Unsurpassed Accuracy - virtually eliminates false alarms. The intelligence of Fastlane plus enables the system to differentiate between body mass and small objects such as umbrellas etc. This increases guard acceptance, avoiding "tune-out" from excessive false alarms and minimises the chance of the barrier hitting an authorised user due to a false activation

4. Most Aesthetic and Streamlined Design - Fastlane plus is an architect-inspired solution; with 100 cms by 16 cms (38" by 6.4") enclosures, it takes up less space than other systems.

5. Wheelchair Friendly - Unlike some other systems, lanes for wheelchair access cost no more than standard lanes; the units for the wider lanes are the same width as all other pedestals.

6. Simplified Installation and Ongoing Maintenance - CAT 5 interconnections provide plug 'n' play simplicity. Industry proven technology and onboard diagnostics to ensure maximum system up-time.

7. Safety - Fastlane plus features 4 safety beams to minimise the chances of the barrier arms hitting users, the beams are evenly spread to provide the same protection for the entry direction and the exit direction.

Fastlane plus is available with 2 performance variations, the 300 and the 400.

The 300 model is the entry level version to the Fastlane plus range and the 400 redefines the specification for barrier arm optical turnstiles.

Detection Beams
The Fastlane 400 model features a 20 beam detection matrix capable of monitoring multiple people in the lane simultaneously, this provides a superior level of detection along the whole lane.

Tailgaters

The 400 is designed to bring its barrier arm up between tailgaters as close together as 15 centimeters, setting a new benchmark in security.

Additional End of Lane Indicators

A combination of 'in lane' and 'end of lane' indicators offer users clearer instruction in how to use the lane, speeding up throughput and ensuring faster user acceptance.

Anti-Crawl

The 400 series is fitted with "Anti-crawl" detection beams as standard, designed to detect people attempting to duck under the barrier arms.

Breakaway Arms

Unique auto-resetting breakaway arms are standard on all 400 models. This feature allows safe egress in the event of emergencies and reduces the chances of injuries.

Normally Open or Normally Closed?

Each 400 or 300 are available either with a mid-arm position (MA) or an asymmetrical arm position (AS) layout.

AS

The AS version of the 300 and 400 is designed to operate with the barriers in the normally-open position which allows authorised users to move freely through the lane, without the barrier arms moving. However the barriers are designed to close on an unauthorised person entering the system.

MA

The MA version of the 300 and 400 has the arms in the middle of the unit and is designed to operate in the normally-closed mode.

Fastlane plus is available with 3 different pedestal variations.

Disabled Access
All Fastlane plus barrier arm optical turnstiles are available in standard lane widths 600-700mm (23-28 inches) and DDA/ADA compliant lane widths of 850-960mm (33-38 inches).

Optional Extras

A variety of accessories are available to complement the Fastlane plus range:

Fastlane Floor Protector- Designed for temporary installations and enables the Fastlanes to be installed quickly and cost effectively, without drilling or otherwise damaging the floor on which they stand.
Fastlane Infill System- Is a series of decorative modular panels, which complement the Fastlane plus turnstiles by guiding users in the desired direction.
Fastlane Remote Control- This desk mounted controller is designed to allow the guard to over-ride some of the features of the Fastlane plus, facilitate visitor entry and to give a visual indication of alarms at the guard desk.
Card Reader Mounting- A number of alternative card reader mounting options are available.
Alternative material and colour finishes- IDL offers a full design service for custom enclosures, as well as alternative colours and materials.
